  • BSB60407 Advanced Diploma of Management
  • BSB60707 Advanced Diploma of Project Management
  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • 22105VIC Diploma of Sustainability
  • 25 years exhibition, commercial sales, management and training experience

Can this training lead to my receiving an AQTF endorsed qualification?” Yes, but only when it is conducted in conjunction with a VET registered training organisation.

Do you work with other facilitators and event professionals?” Yes. Ron collaborates and presents with a team of qualified trainers and assessors, design and marketing associates.

Do you teach anything apart from Events, Business and Management subjects ?” Yes, high-level software skills are needed to present, monitor and manage event outcomes. We provide advanced training in the latest versions of MS Office, Adobe Acrobat Professional and Adobe Lightroom.

Is Ron McDermott a single-subject facilitator?” No. He has a diverse exhibition background that includes market sectors such as: education, manufacture, medical and health, primary industries, tourism and leisure, food, mining, ICT, marine and transport. Ron possesses an intimate understanding of trade and consumer shows, domestically and internationally.

What sort of training experience should I expect with Ron McDermott?” He knows his subject inside out and back to front, and expresses himself in a clear and understandable manner. He genuinely loves helping people help themselves and it shows.

Can you send me a price list?” No. All training services are quoted according to brief.

Do you sell design services, displays and graphics?” No, we just sell our time.

Do you sell images from your event photography?” Yes but images are free-of-charge and royalty-free for our event customers.

Why are some of your training events free of charge?” In some cases we are engaged and financed by a host organisation, government departments, associations or peak industry bodies. In turn that organisation derives a commercial or educational benefit for hosting and promoting the event. However Ron McDermott is not a ‘cash for comment’ presenter. Nor does he offer or accept secret commissions from industry partners or associates.

Where can I receive my training or consultation?” Ron provides exhibition training services throughout Australia and internationally. He is based in Brisbane, so travelling costs and outgoings apply when training and consultations are conducted outside of South-East Queensland. We find that Skype, Facetime, Viber, remote desktop and file transfer technologies virtually eliminate travel outgoings for pre- and post-training meetings.

Will I be charged for billable time just to talk to you?” No! We want to help you, and we can often do that by phone or email. We do not charge for initial consultation meetings or travel time except in special circumstances. Costs are applicable only when you sign-off our formal proposal.

I’m not sure I can afford one-on-one or group training.”  Professional training can require considerable investment but rest assured our services are not just for the fortunate few. Suggestion: If you have a limited budget, why not attend one of our free (or ‘almost free’) events? You will find this a highly rewarding experience – even if you drive long distances or fly interstate to attend.
